Beginner

Learning to play an instrument might seem daunting at first, but even after your first lesson you will be able to play something meaningful. Everyone can start to learn to play an instrument no matter their age!

Intermediate

Maybe you want to go over previous lessons or  you feel ready to graduate from beginner music lessons. Intermediate courses will give you the tools to excel in your violin or piano playing.

03.

Advanced

Are you ready to take your well-honed skills to the next level? Maybe you have a grade 8 distinction already, but are looking to graduate to the concert halls! I will be able to help with methodical and motivational teaching.

About

Peter Fields is a professional teacher and musician based in Rolvenden Layne, East Sussex. Peter offers high quality violin and piano tuition near Northiam, Tenterden, Cranbrook, Hastings, Bexhill, Tunbridge Wells, Etchingham, Wadhurst, Stonegate and Robertsbridge.

He has been playing professionally for over 30 years and has played with a wide range of orchestras including the LSO, RPO, and Philharmonia in London as well as with orchestras in Nicaragua, Norway and South Africa. On the more popular side he has been involved with West End shows, pop tours and commercial recordings for artists such as Henry Mancini, Barry White and Dionne Warwick.

Now he plays an important part in the local community – conducting the Northiam Chamber Orchestra, playing lead violin or conducting the Hastings Sinfonia, as well as being involved in many local concerts and performances around Tenterden and East Sussex.

With over 30 years of experience, he has had much success as a teacher of violin and piano with students of all ages (2 to 80) – many achieving excellent results at grade 8 and beyond.
